Activities
Dr. Williams actively participates in the AOA, particularly in the Cornea and Contact Lens Section, and is a member of the Optometric Physicians of Washington, the British Contact Lens Association, and the British Orthokeratology Society. He serves on the Board of Directors and is the chairman of the education committee for both the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control and the International Academy of Orthokeratology. Additionally, he holds the distinction of being a Fellow in both academies and reviews for Contact Lens and Anterior Eye, the journal of the British Contact Lens Association. |
Career & Experience
Throughout his career, Dr. Williams has concentrated on contact lenses, participating in early clinical trials for Toric soft lens designs with manufacturers like Wesley-Jessen. He has recently focused on fitting innovative lenses, including Orthokeratology, Scleral, Hybrid, Keratoconus, and Bifocal contact lenses, as well as computer-assisted designs. Dr. Williams is recognized for his publications, lectures, and workshops on Orthokeratology fitting principles and patient care, which he has presented across the United States and internationally in Canada, Australia, Korea, Singapore, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Belgium, Spain, Colombia, Chile, and the UK. For several years, he has also served as a Keynote Speaker at the China Ophthalmology and Optometry Congress. |
