Education
Dr. Williams graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Pacific University College of Optometry with his doctorate. He began his private practice in Seattle, Washington and today continues to provide innovative eye care solutions utilizing the latest technologies.
Career & Experience
Dr. Williams has focused much of his career on contact lenses. He was actively involved in clinical trials for manufacturers such as Wesley-Jessen for the early toric soft lens designs. Most recently he has specialized in fitting patients with new lenses such as Orthokeratology, Scleral, Hybrid, Keratoconic, Bifocal contacts lenses and computer assisted designs. He has published, lectured and conducted workshops on the fitting principles and follow-up care for Orthokeratology across the United States and in countries such as Canada, Australia, Korea, Singapore, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Belgium, Spain, Colombia, Chile and the UK. He has been a Keynote Speaker at the China Ophthalmology and Optometry Congress for the past several years.
Involvement
Dr. Williams is an active member of the AOA, including the Cornea and Contact Lens Section, the Optometric Physicians of Washington, the British Contact Lens Association, and the British Orthokeratology Society. He is a member of the Board of Directors and chairman of the education committee for the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control and the International Academy of Orthokeratology and is also a Fellow of both organizations. He is also a reviewer for Contact Lens and Anterior Eye, the journal of the British Contact Lens Association.
